AVCHD on MVP

I have some HD AVCHD .MTS files from a sony camcorder which I am trying to get working on the MVP. I have installed PowerDVD 7 for the codec to play the files in WMP which works great. They also play on PVRX2 Video library on my GBPVR server, but trying to play the files on MVP reboots it. The log says 'forcefailure', so I guess it either cant or wont transcode the AVCHD files to mpg for the MVP.

Has anyone else been able to get this working?

I'd try renaming them to .avi and see how they play.

I already thought of that, just reboots the MVP.

That's likely a timeout or ffmpeg is not able to convert them to SD mpeg. You could try with mvpmc but if it is a timeout ffmpeg might not be able to keep up.
