If a plugin works with blue, it will work for the CommunitySkin without modification (I made sure there was built-in compatibilty). PVRX2 will pull in the skin files from blue and look decent.

I have a working CS3 variation that will be out in next weekend's update.

Edit: I see you copied the folder into the correct place. I got something to show up, it just took a while, but it seemed less than a few minutes.

Is there an Alpha release that I missed? If so I would be willing to test it out and let you know if I have any problems. Just let me know where I can download it.

It's probablly just a bug in my code. This was my first real plugin and I did a lot of stuff wrong. I've learned though and it will be fixed. Smile

For WatchNow? Not yet. I had a couple of hold ups.

By copying the NetFlix folder (unchanged) into the Community3 folder under Skin2 I got good results after about a minute or two wait.

I just got confused by Dakota's post.

Dakota Wrote:I've downloaded the alpha version and copied the dll to the GBPVR\Plugins\NetFlix directory. Copied the skin pieces to Skin2\Community3\NetFlix. Ran Config to enable the plugin. The NetFlix item shows up as a main menu item. When I select it nothing happens. No screen changes. And program is then hung. Must kill it from task manager. I've attached the PVRX2.exe.log. I am using PVRX2 with Community Skin3. I am using the new GBPVR CommonUtilities DLL posted in this thread. GBPVR version 1.1.15. Any suggestions?

Sorry to bother you. While I am anxious to start using this plugin I don't want to be a pest, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something. Not to mention that I have no room to complain because it is not like I am paying you are anything. Big Grin

Thanks,
David

The wait was probably due to the fact that I was downloading all the images before displaying anything. I know better now. Wink

Oh, did I not mention that the WatchNow add-on will be $20? :p

(That was just a joke, don't worry.)

WatchNow update: Having a small issue retrieving the list of streams for a movie. I know it something small but I guess I'm too tired to see it. I'll take a fresh look in the morning.

I got the alpha version (without watch now) working. Turns out I was just to impatient. I clicked NetFlix and went away to do something. When I got back I had the complete screen, similar to what Fatman_do posted. Thanks for your work on this Whurlston.

Can you try this to see if it is better on the load time?

http://www.epgtools.com/Netflix/WatchNowPlugin.zip

It will show up as a separate plugin: "Netflix Watch Now". This will not actually play the movies yet but it will get the list. I haven't updated the list from last week yet though so it will not match the Netflix website exactly. Also, the config form is not active yet so you can't save any settings but the plugin will still run.

The first time it's activated it will download a zip file with the list. The file is about 800Kb so it should not take very long. It will also download an updated list on activation if the local list is older than the the previous Tuesday. Once the list is processed it will download the small posters in the background. Those downloads are stopped if you exit the plugin and then resumed next time the plugin is activated. It will only download images that are not cached.

There is a new skin file in the zip that makes the descriptions fit better in the list. It will need to be renamed "skin.xml" if you want to use it.

You should have the following files after extraction:
Code:
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Common\NetFlixAPI.dll
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Common\NetFlixAPI.pdb
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Common\Newtonsoft.Json.dll

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Netflix\WatchNow.dll
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Netflix\WatchNow.pdb

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\skin2\blue\Netflix\newskin.xml

You should also have the following folders:

Code:
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Netflix\WatchNow
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Netflix\Posters\Large
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\WatchNow\Plugins\Netflix\Posters\Small
These are the cache folders and they will be customizable once the config form is completed.

If your main gbpvr folder is in a different location, adjust accordingly.
