So by using the PH A-100 will recordings in the dVR-ms format play? I'm assuming I would have to change to the ts mux which would prevent time shifting correct? I have not had the greatest success trying the cyberlink or avi muxes with digital ATSC here in the states for the mpeg formats.

I just received my Pre-Order notice for the Popcorn Hour. I'm trying to decide whether to purchase it or not. I was wondering if anyone has any idea if or when it will be fully functional with gbpvr.

A $180 media extender cannot be expected replace a $1000+ PC for functionality and at this point it cannot even replace the MVP for complete integration with GBPVR even though it is a much more capable unit with great potential.

Given that some of you are probably counting on me to provide this functionality over the short term I can only say I have the desire to do as much as I can (as a hobby remember) but I don't have any information to make the programming easy and I don't want to be blamed for anyone's purchase decision.

mvallevand,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I've been following this thread for awhile and just wanted to get an idea on the progress. I in know way would blame you or anyone else for a bad purchase decision. I just am trying to get all the facts before I make a decision so that I have only myself to blame. I realize its only a hobby for you and I appreciate all that you and others have done.

To that I think I can say it is progressing nicely.

I'd just like to add my thanks too, Martin's been incredibly patient with the MVP, shares, testing and to attempt do it all over again with the PCH is awesome. Thanks M.

I got my pre-order notice last week, and decided to pass it by on the basis that (for NZ anyway) that it's just too early. Does look good though but I've resisted my craving to get "yet another toy".

Hasso

Hi!

Are the experimental support for popcorn hour built into the 1.2.9 release, or do I need to stay with the patched 1.1.5?

TIA
