I'm currently using V1.1.5 and was wondering if there was anyway of telling the TV Guide to remind me about a show, preferably a few minutes before the show start? This would be cool if it switches to that channel once the show begins.

There used to be a feature like this, but I didnt bother implementing it when I rewrote the app. Only a small handful of people seemed to use this feature. It probably wont make a return.

WOW, talk about quick replies...lol

Sub, thanks for all the effort and for the great app you've provided to us.

The reason why I would like this feature is because I have 2 babies, and when I'm with them, I sometimes forget when a show is starting, because I'm taken up with them.

I currently switched guides to the TV Listings, just because of this feature. However, although the TV Listings plugin does offer some nice features, I really like the way the orginal TV Guide looks. It just has a real smooth look to it.

But anyway, thanks again for the great app.

I used to think something like this as well - however, since I've been using gbpvr, my (our) viewing habits have completely changed and we watch very little, if any, live TV anymore.
Diligent use of the TV guide, season recordings and plenty of disk space let our lives revolve round ourselves rather than the TV schedules.
In effect "who cares if I miss the start of xxx", it's all there on disk" - you need to be confident of your system though Wink

Before the gbpvr era I used to think such a thing existed. I don't anymore Wink

I understand there probably wont be a reminder feature but I would like to add my name to the list of people that use it if by any chance this wish gets more popular. I have started using pvrx2 instead of gbpvr and found the reminder very useful when I was watching live tv instead of recording.

If you use the EWA for scheduling, it still has a GREAT reminder feature and an auto-search+record feature, so you never miss anything... Smile

I use this feature with the old gbpvr all the time, its a good feature when you don't have the space to record shows and are are too cheap to buy another hard drive.
