It's done in C# and works fine.

I'm just going to perfect it for a week and give it a few options i.e specify output filename or leave it upto GBPVR to find the programme and give it that filename, don't have to give an endtime and GBPVR will work out the endtime.

NumberFive -> It will work for your SMS project as long as you have a way of executing it as a DOS command with the arguments of the programme you want to record ( channel, prepad mins, postpad mins , starttime, endtime(optional), recordingfilename( optional ) )

systemshark -> It's against the DigiGuide terms and conditions to extract their data and their API is smart enough to realise you are trying to extract huge wodges of data and won't let you. Do you run Girder ? Becuase I have a Girder plugin I wrote for DigiGuide and a few DigiGuide API add-ons that make it far more wife-proof and look and function like a TV screen app than a "WinXP" app.

Sorry to jump in and spoil the development plan, but I thought the digiguide driving external recordings was already covered by dabdig. It doesn't look like the program has had much in the way of updates recently, but that may be because it works just fine. Have a look here: http://www.spidersweb.freeserve.co.uk/dab/dabdig.htm

I knew about DabDig but I think it is written in VBScript and therefore only deals with GBPVR if using the old access database rather than SQLite.

DabDig is also a sledgehammer to crack tiny nuts.

It's great if you are not a programmer yourself as it provides interfaces into lots of different recording apps but I'd rather make my own tiny exe just for GBPVR.

hansol - should be a couple of weeks. I'm a bit distracted with other things at the moment but don't fret - I'll post in this thread when it's done.

schedule from command line has been implement in the 1.2.9 release. If you run schedule from gbpvr directory from DOS it gives you some examples. I have not done it personally.

Usage Examples:

-channel 12 -start "2008-03-12 14:40" -stop "2008-03-12 15:20" -name "Property Ladder" -pre 1 -post 3

-channel 12 -start "2008-03-12 14:40" -minutes 60 -name "Property Ladder"

-channel 12 -start "2008-03-12 14:40" -seconds 240 -name "Property Ladder"

-channel 12 -start now -seconds 240 -name "Property Ladder" -pre 1 -post 3

Groovyclam

I have tried to make contact via email.

I should be most grateful if you could send me a copy of your Digiguide to GB PVR program with idiot type instructions.

Thanks Hansol
