Cummunity Skin Crashing

I finnaly got another media center pc together and got good ol' GB-PVR back on (it's been a while!). Thanks for the good work all. Anyway....

Everything worked fine, as far as installing and using GB-PVR and the skin. I can even go in with the Skin plugin and choose BlueMCE and it will still work fine. However, when I go in and change the background and try to go to a sub menu like Media Library, it crashes (Going to Media Library works fine until I change the background).

Any ideas?

Did you just upgrade to both latest versions posted today?

I have GB-PVR 1.2.9
I downloaded the newest skin install and reinstalled it, got the same problem. Works until I change the background.

It is copying over a baseskin.xml file that is obsolete (why I don't know). I need to fix the installer to remove these files.

You can browse to c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins\skinplugin\resources and then remove the Baseskins folder completely. Then re-install the CommunitySkin. There is an old Reflect baseskin.xml file that is now renamed. It must be copying that one over.

BTW, I was up there yesterday for HighSchool Musical on ICE. 2-hr drive both ways. Whooppiee!
