PVR-150 Re-Install and Codecs

I decided to get a bigger HD for my media PC with GBPVR, etc. For some reason the Hauppage PVR-150 sound is always "on", ie I hear the sound from my TV input (signal goes from digital box to PC and I use the blaster to change channels) even when just looking at the WinXP desktop. Has anybody seen this before?

I also seem to have a codec-install-order issue. Can anyone comment on their good/working installation order and software versions?

i had that problem, but it was because i had my cables backwards. the sound in was running to my sound-card instead of to the pvr-150. switching them fixed it for me.
