I have an old MSI PVS (personal video station) card laying around. Is there a way I can get this bad boy to work as an annalog tuner card with gbpvr?

Got a link to the spec?
added later: from what I saw at http://www.msicomputer.com/product/netpc...ere_Master it would appear to be missing the required mpeg hardware encoder.

Usually, when the included software lists MPEG4 recording as an option this means the card uses software encoding.

There is nothing built in that would support this card, but you could try the 'software recorder plugin' or 'graph recorder plugin'. I've not personally used either of these, so cant vouch for their performance or stability.
