From what I can tell, its a combination of things.

Taking the channel 5 KVVU as an example. That channel is only enabled on one capture source so it can only schedule a recording on that channel if that specific tuner isnt already scheduled for recording. I havnt checked other channels, but this gives you one example.

Also another factor is the order you've defined your capture sources. When you schedule a recording it works its way from the top of the capture source list down, looking for an available capture source witht he requested channel. Because of this it is usually a good idea to have the capture sources with the least channels first, otherwise you're more likely to not have a tuner available that can satisfy a later scheduling request.

Ok, I see the issue but not sure why it doesn't resolve itself.

I have two antennas so that I can pick up all the channels in my area and each antenna is connected to a tuner. Some channels I can pickup on both antennas and some not (channels 3 and 8 are on both). (I have the capture sources with the least channels first)

If I select an individual show to record on Channel 8 and then select another individual show on Channel 5 both being at the same time it has no problem. I have also tested that it does not matter which channel I select first (8 and then 5 or 5 and then 8 the program knows which card is available to do the job for both recordings).

But not the case for reoccurring recordings.

I selected a reoccurring recording on Channel 8 and then selected another reoccurring recording on Channel 5, since channel 5 is not on the other tuner it doesn't make the swap for me. But if I select channel 5 first for reoccurring recording and then channel 8 for second reoccurring recording at the same time it is fine - with no conflicts.

So with that information what do you think?

Thanks,
Andrew
