Just a small problem which ive managed to create.

When I set up the recording folders, i made two folders. One for pausing and one for recording. I put them the wrong way around in the config app, when I changed them so they were correct, my recorded shows no longer show up in the recordings menue in the pvrx2 GUI.

Is there some way I can make them show up again?

Cheers

When ever GB-PVR has to load the recording list, it checks they still exist on the disk. If they dont, it assumes the user has manually deleted the files so it then deletes the data from the database to clean things up.

The problem was caused when you swapped the directories in the config app. It was caused when you moved the files. To GB-PVR it looked like you'd deleted them, so it proceded to clean up the database.

Check the recordings_dump.xml, if they are still in it, change the path and reimport the file using Config.

If your files arent listed in that file, then it was created after your data was already "cleaned" from the database.

They are there sub, simpson, daily show, qi and dexter. Thats all there was so far. I cant see a path for the folder name though. They were origionally recorded to a folder called "buffer".

Cant I enter something into the database so theyll be read again, or is it too complicated.

Those entries are the season recordings, not actual recording. The recordings themselves would be different from those, and would have the filenames.

See if you have a recordings-dump.xml.bak. If you dont, then you might be out of luck.

If you're on an NTFS drive and do:

notepad c:\path\to\recording.mpg:metadata.xml

Then you be shown the metadata that can be inserted into the recordings-dump.xml file.

Also search the forum and/or the Wiki for mpegimport which will find files and create an import xml file. I have a feeling the later versions can read the metadata as well - not sure as I haven't had to use it recently. But it can be a lifesaver if you have lots of recordings "gone missing"
