Hello..

Last night i uppgraded to the latest version.
And i read som posts in this excelent forum.
I've been using Zprocess to converting my recordings uptill now, but i figured that i should test the built in conversion to see if that works as well as zprocess. (i really would like to be able to use gb-pvr "right out of the box" and not have to install and tweak any plugins) this would save a lot of time when re installing the computer!

But now i realise that the recording from last night dident get converted, and i guess that that has something to do with the fact that i've been using zprocess.
What do i have to do to make it work?
Change any thing in postprocessing.bat?
Restore the original ffmpeg in "third party/ffmpeg" folder?
Any thing else?

Actually, it had been working for me just fine for 2 months, and suddenly, mid March it stopped converting to XviD. No changes to the config (as far as I can tell)

Tought it might have to do with a conflicting scheduled program recording, so I made sure nothing is recorded anywhere around that time window.

I verified my DivX codec is registered (and not a 30 day demo) just to be sure.

Upgraded to latest release (Still not using X2. If I try Overlay, my machine locks up with X2 taking 100 CPU and won't respond to C-A-D or even the soft 'sleep' from front power button. But that's another minor issue...) So latest release didn't fix. I don't think it's a GBPVR issue, but I don't know where to look or what to reinstall now.

I'll keep looking for a log or something unless someone has an idea.

Thanks

I think there have been problems with the conversion-cue when e.g. the recorded show was deleted before it could be converted, this would keep the rest of the cue from being converted. Something like this, I don't recall exactly.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,

Post your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log after a recording happens and I'll take a look.

Sorry missed that:o.
I would restore the original ffmpeg to start with.
undo any changes in postprocessing.bat.
Ask this question in the z-process forum;
http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24

Thanks, Sub.

I went into the log file (silly me, I forgot to look into the \logs directory for error logs.. :o )

I won't post the full 2MB file.. It's full of entries from 2:00-6:00 repeating:

I don't know if it's pointing to the mythbusters episode, in queue or an old, deleted one the HtV mentioned might be a problem.

I have SQLiteSpy.exe if I need to 'poke' the database into submission. But I won't fiddle with tables without knowing for sure I'm modifying the right one. Big Grin

Thanks

You could try the attached patch. It gets rid of the problem that can lead to the "System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Length cannot be less than zero" error shown in the log above.
