OK, after spending several hours of searching, I am lost. Where do I start using HDHHomerun?

I have finally un installed each application and started from scratch.

1. downloaded and installed GB-PVR 1.2.9 release from http://www.gbpvr.com/GBPVR10209.msi

2. Applied the patches from the zip file contained here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=34269 for use in PopcornHour (placed files in "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr" directory"c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr" directory)

3. Signed up for SchedulesDirect

4. Updated bda.ini in "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr"

Code:

[Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner XXXXXXXX-0]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner XXXXXXXX-0
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=Output1

[Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner XXXXXXXX-1]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner XXXXXXXX-1
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=Output1

and replaced all XXXXXXXX with my Device ID from the back of my HDHomerun.

At this point I am getting errors from SchedulesDirect and cannot find any channels.

Lets tackle the SchedulesDirect error first, because I'm more familiar with that than the steps required to setup an HDHomeRun. (we've got lots of HDHomeRun users though, so we'll be able to help you through that aspect too, but advice probably best to come from someone thats actually used one)

Can you hit the 'Update EPG' button in your capture source settings, the zip and attach the config.exe.log file?

"(401) Unathorized" means you've got your SchedulesDirect username/password set incorrectly.

OK, I will look into that. Still trying to figure out how to attach the log, but maybe you do not need anymore.

I am able to log on to the service website so maybe it was a typo in the config.

Here is some info on posting attachments from one of the sticky threads. I wont need that log though, the 401 error in your screenshot told me exactly what I needed to know.

Quote:Zip and attach your logs
The logs are found in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\logs directory (unless you installed to another place).
Unless I ask for a specific log, then I mean all the logs. (typing individual log file names is my pet peeve)
You need winzip or another zip program (windows explorer in XP right click and send to Compressed Folder") to zip up all the files that end with .log in that directory.
Then in your post you hit "Go advanced" in the forum, then you can attach files with the button "manage attachments".

OK, checked and for som reason the username and password fields were empty. Probably because I just uninstalled and re-installed. I populated the correct username and password and am getting the same error.

Hopefully the log file is attached.

<<<I see my log file exceeds the limit of the forum. Now looking for zip application>>

The log isnt attached, but try deleting your capture source, then 'ok' out of the config app. Start it up again and recreate your capture source from scratch.

OK, I removed, clicked ok, and than went back to the config application and added it back in. I still get the same error.

...along the way I found the worst zip application. Horrible GUI but was able to zip my log and attach in spite of it.

Before I go any further. I have not paid the $20 for teh service but when I log on it says I am in the 7 day trial. I assume this would not contribute to the error, but am letting you know just in case it does.

It looks like you've got the correct username/password now.

I suspect you havnt setup your channel lineup on the SchedulesDirect website? You need to do this otherwise the service doesnt know what channels you receive, and returns this "500" error when an app like GB-PVR asks for channel listings.
