So the Electronic Programming Guide is now connected. The part that I was missing was that I had to edit and save changes on a selected carrier and zipcode. It doesn't seem to be enough to select the carrier and zip code and assume all channels will be available.
...so now I have a listing of available channel names from Schedules Direct loaded in my "Edit Recording Source" config window with empty check boxes for enabling. I left these unchecked for now and have clicked the "Map digital channels to EPG channels" button. This is where GB-PVR scans 68 ATSC channels on my HDHomerun and populates channels found. It also has a preview window that will display the channel if unencrypted. My system pulls up many channels but nothing is displayed in the preview window. I saw another post refering to enabling QAM and am wondering if this will fix the problem that I have no watchable channels.

What MPEG video decoder do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app? If 'system default', what other options are listed?

'system default' is selected MPEG video decoder is the only item available in the drop down.

It sounds like you dont have an MPEG2 decoder installed, so its unable to decode the stream. A free decoder you could try is http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Dsca...ilters.htm or http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

I just dowloaded and installed the codecs from the first url you provided. This is very exciting as I was able to see all of the channels. I then went and mapped each channel to the guide. It was very streight forward and intuitive.
I set the EPG for 14 days and reloaded the EPG. After closing the config application I ran PVRX2. This is a very nice interface. I scrolled to the guide and selected a show in the current timeslot and selected watch. It looked like the picture was about to display and than in an instant I saw teh Dell Bootup screen. My mouse was frozen and the window for transmitting the log back to microsoft came up. I am still very excited but figured I would post this and try it again to see if this error was a one time error or if it is repeatable...

Well, whatever error I had seems to have been a one time error. WWWWhen selecting a show to play I still do not see any picture. I have selected the video and audio decoders to the new DScaler decoder that I recently downloaded. The video came up in the preview window when mapping channels so I know the HDHomeRun is connected and that GB-PVR can controle it.

Zip and post your pvrx2*.log files after attempting to view a channel.

Everything looks good in the logs. I haven't tried the DScalar decoders so I'm not sure how they perform. Try switching your Video decoder to the MPV decoder and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, post your logs again so we can make sure that DScalar is not taking over (it probably won't but I'm not sure).
