Right... that's where I put them. I've had Music Library 2 running since 6.5...

The folders are there. The Plugin is there. I tried putting Interfaces.dll and musiclibrarycommon.dll in plugins\common, to no avail.
Currently Running: 1.4.7

Do you have other plugins that might be conflicting? Try to temporarily move those away, and restore them one by one. This helped me at some point.

Having solved my problem further up in this post I know have another on a second system I run.
The MLUpdater.log is attached - basically it seems to be failing to update the library and there are numerous errors about library calls.

All and any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm, not sure on that one....Have you got anything in the library??

I'm guessing it's been scanning, and them the timer has triggered again and it's tried to scan again....I thought I had a check in there to see if it was already active...

Also maybe look at setting your scanDay option to 1 rather that -1...

If not, can you stop the service, and run "MLPdater -update > update.log" and it will do a manual scan./

Send me the MlUpdater.log (if it's been created) and the update.log it creates in the directory

Yes, over 6K tracks.

OK, I've set it to 1 and restarted everything. Will report back and try the manual scan if still no joy.

Many thanks

I had issues with other plugins using Interfaces.dll (beta testing) in their folders and in \common. I removed the others and left the one in common and my problems went away.

OK, it's looking better now but it seems to be having problems seeing the music drive. It's on a different server which does not hibernate but does power it's disks down. As you can see in the attached log at the beginning it reports:
ERROR MLUpdater: Directory \\B2it-server6\Music does not exist
Could this be a timeout issue if the drive was powered down?
Strange thing is, the rest of the log shows it removing 300 files as dead links but I've checked a few and they are there. Do you think it's a network issue?
I'm assuming it's not an ML2 problem as such, but advice welcomed again.
Many thanks

ok, like gbpvr recording service dealing with network drives - you would proably need to configure the MLUpdater service to use a local user rather than LocalSystem.

Hi Psycik,

I'm not sure if this is a ML2 problem or a general GBPVR problem.
I discovered that songtitles get translated (to dutch in my case) in ML2.
It showed a song called "Exit" as "Afsluiten"(dutch for exit).

Not sure, It shouldn't as I know how to translate something, and it's something I have to do, i.e. it's not done for me.

I guess send it to me and I can try it on an English system, and if it says exit for me, then there's some translation happening behind the scenes.......oh and you could look in the DB and see that is in there..
