When I saw this, I resisted as long as I could, but you know how it is...

His Avatar/logo thingy is a bit more appropriate, don't you think - and he's learning Padawan (what's Padawan? :confusedSmile

edit:
OK so Padawan's not a language - just means he's got one of those platted ponytail things

Yeah, I tried too. Here's my personal favorite: http://forum.byopvr.com/dvr/index.php/topic,8719.0.html

The only reply was to ask how he got the smiley on the thread.

Wasn't that hard. It's about the 5th or 6th thread on the forum's first page.

The smiley's Smile, images in thread titles, and odd sentence structure, were part of the tell-tale signs that lead me to believe he had multiple user accounts.

That, and common mis-spellings and bad grammar (not picking on him, just a fact).

Also I thought it was odd he was offered a job by one someone in one of his threads because he liked the skins.

Some of his AVS forum threads are classics.

True, and I didn't mean to offend anyone either. It just seems to make sense to ask questions about GBPVR here and not there and it's good that you found your way.

I got here via the byopvr forum as well. I check on it every 3 months or so, but there is no place like home!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I went to YOU KNOW WHO's blog because you can't help clicking on the link to a train wreck and i noticed a pic of his networking hardware. He has every ethernet cable in the setup coiled. Now, like i said, correct me if i am wrong, but i was taught to never coil networking cables because it can result in slower data transfer. I also read thru some of his "tweaks" and I kinda wonder if he has absolutely nothing to do. He seems quite a bit eccentric...to put it as nicely as possible.

in truth, i would like to know your peoples' thoughts on coiling network cable, i was just taught to never do this. Also, as an engineer by trade, i tend to be very detail oriented and in reading "his" resume, i noticed a lot of grammar issues.

Furthermore, anyone who rips on GBpvr and rips on it for being poor software wouldn't know good software if it hit them in the face. i am willing to bet that this guy runs Windows ME on his machines..LOL

Ouch.

Oh man, thats kind of sad. He's repeatedly bumping his own threads. He was never treated that harsh here.

I always thought of him as the "Crazy old uncle" of GBPVR. Everyone just kind of rolled their eyes but mostly respected him. Now he's wandering the tubes, banished from the only home he ever knew without a friend in the world...Sad

His writing is so strange that I always assumed he was not a native english speaker but never had the nerve to ask.
