If you open Windows Explorer on your GB-PVR machine and enter \\192.168.0.9\movies in the address bar what do you see?

I am expecting you will see a folder called Movies with your iso in it based on your PCH setup. If you are sharing the root that changes you script.cgi settings.

Martin,
Yes I see this:

Index of file://///192.168.0.9/movies/
Up to higher level directory
Directory: August Rush 5/1/2008 10:40:27 AM

How would I change my script.cgi, its currently this:

mkdir /mnt/\\\\192.168.0.9\\Movies
mount -t cifs //192.168.0.9/movies /mnt/\\\\192.168.0.9\\Movies -o username=guest,ro

Blue Racer Wrote:I know I had previously applied that patch, but I did it again anyways to be sure. I then rebooted both the computer and the pch. I then brought up gbpvr on my pch and tried to click on the movie button. Still nothing happened. Here are the logs again.
The reason I wonder about the patch not being applied, is that there should be a message like "About to request DVD playback of: xxxxxxxxx" in your MVP-pvrx2.exe.log, but you dont seem to have this. Your newest logs still dont have this.

Are you navigating through Video Library, seeing the "movie.iso" and pressing 'enter' while its selected?

I don't get that far. When I navigate to the Video Library I see the two items I have set up: My Videos, My Movies
When I click on My Movies nothing happens at all, I never see the iso file.
I can run the dvd iso file by using the pch menus directly.

On the PC try going into the Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, and viewing the properties of the GBPVR Recording Service, and setting the service to startup as your user account instead of 'localsystem'.

Sub,
I'm not sure what that change does, but now I can see my iso files when I click on "My Movies" In gbpvr. When I click on one of the iso's though it loads the Popcorn screen, but never plays the movie. What would be my next step?

The popcorn hour server running on the PC runs as part of the recording service in the background, which runs as this 'localsystem' account by default. For whatever reason, your localsystem account was unable to access your \\192.168.0.9\Movies share, probably some permissions thing. Changing the user account resolves that.

Its most likely something thats happening on the PCH side of things now (share names etc), but can you post your GBPVR logs again so I can check.

Sorry Sub
Try this one. I rebooted both the computer & pch. Also changed the MVPserver starts to 1.
