Quote:The only strange think is the DVB-S scan on gbPVR did not find BBC satellite channels located using PowerCineama 5. Conversely, the DVB-S on gbPVR listed ITV channels that were missing on PowerCinema. is this because PowerCinema groups Astra 2A, 2B, 2D with Eurobird 1; while gbPVR lists them seperately?
I dont know. Maybe. You best bet is to find out what freqeuncy those channels are on, and I'll check if that was in the set scanned with your current satellite selected.

I was referring to the new Freesat service which, by coincidence, goes live today. I am new to satellite TV but from the little I know it is broadcast from Astra 2D and has an EPG from Eurobird 1.

I found this information here http://www.astra2d.com/freesat.htm

Thanks.

If you can find the frequencies somewhere, then I'll check the GB-PVR files for you.

Is this something like you were looking for. I obtained the data from lyngsat web site.

BBC 1 North West
T:10778,V,22000,56
2~TSID:2046~P:10302~V:2318~A:2319

I,m trying to edit scan-*.cache files to see if this locates the channel. no succes yet as I think I'm missing data because there are some entries on each line I cannot identify.

Thank again

Yeah, thats the sort of info.

What satellite did you select when you setup your capture source? I'll check that frequency is in the list scanned for that satellite.

I dont see the 10778 frequency in the GB-PVR "Astra 2A,2B,2D" file. I even checked the joshyfun list at http://joshyfun.peque.org/transponders/index.html, and it didnt have it either.

Are you positive you got the frequency and/or satellite correct?

If I was in that part of the world, I'd know more about Freesat, but I'm not so you guys will have to do some of the leg work yourselves.

I obtained the information from Lyngsat. It appears correct as far as I can tell.

I am not sure what to do next, but if you give me a few pointers I'll have a go.

Thanks

You typed 10778. I'm assuming you really meant 10788, which is in the scan frequency list, and on the lyngsat site.

Do a scan, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.
