• MovieWizManager - On sync, you now have the option to mark missing entries as Hidden or Offline (setting on Plugin Settings tab)
  
• WizWebHelper - Added ability to supply RegEx filter criteria for manipulating movie titles for IMDB/TheTvDb lookups. This should allow folks to customize the title before looking up on internet to get a better 'hit' ratio.
  
• Added WizRegExFilterTester.exe to distribution. For those folks who would like to 'fine-tune' their IMDB/TheTvDb RegEx lookup filters. The default RegEx filters should be sufficent, but this tool will help you build additional filters if neccessary.

Hi.

Just tried to install the new release MovieWiz 1.0.15.5 without success.

MovieWizManager started with a version display of 1.0.15.4. Further investigation indicated that MovieWiz.dll and MovieWizManager.exe were not updated. MovieWiz_ReadMe.txt and the uninstall files reflected the new dates.

A second install did not improve matters.

I guess the installer has a problem.

When I do a "Lookup Details" on a series episode, I get an unhandles exception. I also get this when I start WizRegExFilterTester.exe.

This indicates that the DLLs did not get updated correctly. The WizUiHelper.DLL is not the correct version.

Try reinstalling, but first shut down the recording service to insure no process has any of the DLLs open.

Glad you got it working.

There are no specific instructions. The filters are simply RegEx expressions. You create a RegEx expression, apply it against the string (ie Title), and replace the matching string with the replacement string.

The Helper program (WizRegExFilterTester.exe) has two tabs:

The first tab (Test Editor) allows you to input any string and test RegEx expressions against that string. The Match field is the RegEx expression, the Replace field is the replacement string for any matches (ie empty string, or a space character,...)

The 2nd tab (Workbench) allows you to scan your disk for a filename, and apply the config settings (any tryout any new settings) against the title. If you make a mistake, you can click the Wiz Defaults button to reset back to the stock setttings.

The stock expressions are:

[-|_]$|^[-|_]
This removes any - or _ characters at the begining or end of the title

\[.+\]
This removes any strings surrounded by [].

[\.|_]
This removes any . or _ characters anywhere in the string

\s+
This removes any duplicate space characters anywhere in the string

You can google RegEx for info on RegEx expressions, or this site provides some useful info also: http://www.regular-expressions.info/

Is it possible to import other pictures rather than using the imdb ones? IMDb seems to have pretty small ( <= 5k) pictures. And using ANT I've found that DVDEmpire.com has some really nice images.


Actually javawiz...I wonder if it'd be worth you looking at ant, not for how it works but for its scripting implementation, the scripts are used for the extraction of data/pictures and if you could find a way of using the same scripts there half your work would be done for you....

Does MW necessarily have to overwrite the settings in the skin files ? I spent some fair amount of time to find the font sizes that look just right on my screen, but every now and then, I lose these settings during an update of MW...
