You can ignore the messages looking for *.XMLSerializers. GBPVR looks for them by default but they do not exist. I'm using the built in .Net serializer.

whurlston Wrote:Questor, can you zip and post your PVRx2.*.log files after reproducing the issue? Whurlston...here are the logs modified today by starting gb-pvr and then trying to start it on the PCH. I started the mvpmcx2 this time by using the telnet window and issued the command ./mvpmcx2 -m 720 > /tmp/mvp.log & I then copied the stderr output of the telnet window to stderr.txt and also included the mvp.log file where I directed standard out. I have included stderr.txt and mvp.log in the zip file.

Unfortunately, I don't see anything obvious in the logs related to the Netflix plugin. I'll have better logging in the next build that should show the problem though. I was hoping to get it out before the weekend but I didn't have as much time as planned.

Questor, your logs don't show that you aren't even making the initial connection from the PCH to GBPVR. What I said earlier was a crash is simply the client giving up after thirty seconds. You look like you have everything setup ok (except for using DVR-MS) so I'd start with the firewall.

You're right Martin,
I had forgotten I recently removed zonealarm (becuase it interfered with perfectdisk) and so windows' own firewall turned back on and blocked gbpvr. As a side note the menu option for WatchNow shows up on the PCH but if I select it it crashes to PCH interface...ah well didn't expect it to be able to use it. PS: I'm now trying online armor firewall.
