I was REALLY hoping no one would start posting 7z files. I removed it from my machine because of issues with it. Oh well, I'll take a look at the logs shortly.

I stumbled on that info before but since I only use it on two machines, it wasn't an issue for me.

cbutera Wrote:You might not have tested it with 1.2.13 yet - but it worked for me on 1.2.9 - but now its giving me 1000 of these errors:

I haven't tried the latest version yet due to being out of town. Can you post your PVRx2*.log files?

Questor, the MVP is not getting access to your system temp folder for the .Net serializer to to deserialize the list.
Quote:2008-05-25 13:01:52.609 ERROR [6] Access to the temp directory is denied. Identity 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' under which XmlSerializer is running does not have sufficient permission to access the temp directory. CodeDom will use the user account the process is using to do the compilation, so if the user doesnt have access to system temp directory, you will not be able to compile. Use Path.GetTempPath() API to find out the temp directory location.
I'll add the Path.GetTempPath() to the next build so that you can find out what folder it is trying to use. You should then be able to set the proper permissions on that folder and it should work.

cbutera, the current dev build I am using works fine on the new GBPVR. I should have a build posted by Friday.

Create your movie cache folder if it doesn't exist. I've fixed this issue for the next build.

I have a question about downloads. Yesterday I picked a film and a tv series to download. There was a neflix unrelated pvrx2 crash and I had to get out of pvrx2 and restart. When I restarted, the download percentages stopped counting up like it stopped downloading. However, the files look the right sizes and i could play. Is this a known bug? I have no problem since I can view it but I was curious to see if this has been seen before.

It's not a bug. The download thread is set as a background thread so that it will exit whenever PVRx2 is closed, whether it be normally or due to a crash. Once you exit PVRx2, you will need to resume the download by reselecting "Download".

The reason the file is the proper size is because I have to dowload the end portion of the file in order to get the seek markers. If you were to view the file in a hex editor, you would see that the center portion of the file (the part not downloaded) is filled with null characters. This is why resume downloads was broken when I enabled seeking in currently downloading movies. If you check the XML file, you will see that there is a "LastByte" value. This is the point at which the the download stopped. If you start the download again, it will resume from this point.

Ok, I see, but I don't think it's downloading when I went back in...it doesn't move from the percentage it read in the original crash. I'll give it a try a little bit later tonight again..

You would need to select "Download" again. It does not resume the download automatically.
