Hi JW,

I'm using this plugin, more and more. Another cool release!

A couple of thoughts:
- I'm hoping the "Id" field will be displayable in some future release.
- At the moment, the Categories field is scrollable. This can be slow if you want to jump to a particular entry. Perhaps a drop down list could be a faster alternative?

I like the "Offline" highlighting. Every update is most welcome.

Cheers,
Dan

Glad you find it useful!

You can display the ID field on the Overview and Detail screens by selecting in the config program (Plugin Settings Tab). From the pick lists, select which fields (and order) you'd like for each screen.

Currently, there is no drop-down combo control in the plugin (although I've thought about trying to create one). If you quickly want to jump to a specific entry, while focus is on a specific list control, simply press the 1st letter (either keyboard, or remote).

Hi JW,

A couple of questions,

1. I like the idea of the What's new category, but how do you return to it, if you select another category for a while?

2. I edit the database on a different machine and copy it to the main machine often. Is there a way to force MW to reload without having to restart GBPVR? Maybe it could look for a a file change, then reload itself on next selection?

Keep up the great work.

I have just started using this plugin and I like it a lot. And with the latest release it you can play the DVDs on the NMT. Thanks.

Hmm.. You should be able to navigate the categories list back to it. If you cannot, then there is a bug. I will take a look tonight after work.

EDIT: I can navigate back to 'What's New" on my machine. If you can recreate the problem, note the steps and I'll try to fix it.

I'll see what I can do for this. I'm thinking I can do something when the plugin activates (ie, when you select it from the menu). So, you may have to exit back to the menu, then reselect MovieWiz to get the refresh.

EDIT: As I look at the code, I realize this almost works. It will load a fresh list from the db each time you select a category. So any changes to movie items will be immediately reflected when you select a new category.

The category list is ONLY loaded on startup though, so if you add (or delete) a new category, that won't be reflected unless you restart GBPVR.

I'm getting the same thing, I think it may have something to with when I setup "password" to modify my skin, I have now disabled password but when I go through the categories to the end on the way back it will only show the ones that weren't passworded originally.....hope that makes sense?

Two other things...would it be possible for an upgrade not to overwrite the MovieWiz.xml KeyMappings file unless the new one is created later than the current one? I always forget to put my modified one back in after an upgrade.

I am currently updating the Blue-Retro-SHV skin & can you tell me what the difference between the two counters you display is (VideoCounter & @positionText)?

Yes, the password may have something to do with it, but if all movies in the What's New category are password protected (ie only in password protected categories), the message should be 'No items in this category', but the category should still display.

I thought the config was setup to ONLY overwrite if the new install file is newer. Regardless, I've changed the install to prompt if it is attempting to overwrite that file.

If you run the blue skin, you'll see the difference. I've tried to emulate they way sub has created list counters.

The old way, I created a specific screen element (label) to display the counter. The new way, the counter is part of the list itself. It takes up 1 list entry position.

That said, I did find a few rendering problems with the way it is running now. Next release, these cosmetic problems will be fixed.

Has anyone seen this scrolling problem before?
Scrolling through the movies list with the UP/DOWN keys and for some reason, the details does not get refreshed, (video cover does change correctly) instead the previous entry is shown. Moving away and back does not help. Selecting the entry displays the movies information, as expected.

It seems to choose a single entry to not display in full.
I've rarely seen this problem occur, but I have seen this before. Problem tends to go away by restarting GBPVR.

I think there were some rendering problems with prior versions of the WizUiHelper.DLL. Make sure you have the most current version, and try again. If you still have a problem, post your logs and I'll take a look. (most current versions of DLLs can be found here)
