Since I upgraded the MVP server machine with 1.2.13 MVP goes back to TV Guide at the end of every program. Attached logs show an example of this at 22:20.

I had a look at the logs and it appears that TV is being recorded as .ts and transcoded for the MVP - I'm sure that it used to record as .mpg... My live TV buffer dir has .ts files going back to june 5th (when I upgraded) for all the programmes I've watched.

You haven't changed some mvp settings for a popcorn? (although you don't have one do you). There's stuff in the config.xml about transcoding.

I couldn't see in your logs a matching request for mvp playing a file and recording service starting a file to check....

I don't have a PCH and the only change I've made to config was the system restart from MVP system menu setting as suggested by sub.

sub is going to have to look at that one, I thought it was related to the Cyberlink mux, but I tried and Cyberlink works ok for me

Code:
2008-06-07 22:20:01.357    VERBOSE    BDARecorder::StartNewFile()
2008-06-07 22:20:01.357    VERBOSE    Quick switching TS mux. New filename: C:\GB-PVR Live TV Buffer\Law & Order_2_20080607_22202320.mpg
2008-06-07 22:20:01.357    VERBOSE    Using GB-PVR TS Mux (via TS Mon)
2008-06-07 22:20:01.357    VERBOSE    Target filename: C:\GB-PVR Live TV Buffer\Law & Order_2_20080607_22202320.ts
2008-06-07 22:20:19.234    VERBOSE    BDARecorder::StopRecording()

Sub did upload a couple of updates after the release that I am using

29/05/2008 11:00a 1,261,568 NativeUtilities.dll
29/05/2008 2:38p 151,552 GBPVRTSReader.ax
29/05/2008 4:17p 65,536 GBPVRTSMon.ax

Martin, your response gave me an idea (usually a dangerous thing)...

So I changed BDA Multiplexer to TS mux via config app, and started TV on MVP - buffer was .ts

Changed back to Cyberlink via config app, started TV again, buffer now .mpg

Stopped TV and restarted, buffer still .mpg and previous .mpg gets erased. However, If I let a show run to the end, I end up back in the TV Guide and the buffer reverts to .ts - If I green button the MVP on off and on, buffer goes back to .mpg

At the end of any program, MVP goes blank for a few seconds, shows program for about a second, then returns to TV Guide, leaving a small .ts file in the recordings dir.

It happened at about 22:30:08 in attached logs.

Thanks - that looks great - I've gone through three program to program transitions without any problems.

PS I still get the little pause when the recording service switches files, or am I pushing my luck here? Big Grin
