MPEG2 Decoder settings:

Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\[color=Red]CLVSD[/color]\pvrx2\UIUseHVA
0x00000000 = Accelleration OFF
0x00000001 = Accelleration ON

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\[color=red]CLVSD[/color]\pvrx2\UIVMode
0x000[color=red]1[/color]0001 = Auto Select
0x000[color=red]1[/color]0002 = Force Bob
0x000[color=red]1[/color]0004 = Force Weave

H.264 Decoder Settings:

Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\[color=red]cl264dec[/color]\pvrx2\UIUseHVA
0x00000000 = Accelleration OFF
0x00000001 = Accelleration ON

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\[color=red]cl264dec[/color]\pvrx2\UIVMode
0x00000001 = Auto Select
0x00000002 = Force Bob
0x00000004 = Force Weave

Note the difference in values between the two decoders for the Video Mode. The H.264 decoder uses 1, 2 and 4 while the MPEG2 decoder uses 10001, 10002 and 10004. All values are hexadecimal.

Update on CPU usage: about 10% on TV2 and 8% on TV3 (AC3). Strangely I had to restart to get rid of my jerky playback problem.

Is Powercinema still installed and are these settings for the decoder available with it which is also from Cyberlink? Just wondering if there's an alternative to PDVD8.

No, I uninstalled Power Cinema somewhere along the line. However, when I did have it installed, it would play back it's own recordings with about 10% CPU, so I guess it could work too.

I believe that the HKLM entries are the defaults. You should not have the pvrx2/config keys there though.

The reg entries should work with any version of the Cyberlink decoders.
