you should have the .1 numbers in alternate input you either dont have them or you posted the wrong screen (im not talking about what you have in the right picture those numbers should be in the left picture)
post me exactly your steps of how you added a number from enetering it ti tieing it to the number you learnt from your set top box remote
You have me a bit confused. I did use HipSend to add those numbers to Alt. Input. I thought I had to use the Primary Command option to tell it to use the corresponding channel on the STB from the STB remote codes.

so when you added the primary command you clicked on the little keyboard
then>send ir < clicked on the corresponding key learnt from your set top box

I think I am getting it figured out. YOU HAVE TO USE THE ALTERNATIVE DRIVER!!! Anyway it appears commands are being sent to the STB, but they are being sent too slow. I am now trying to figure out how to speed it up.

No crap. You have to use the alternative driver to do the HIP setup. That appears to be the only way to have the ability to add ENTER and OK. Using the original driver doesn't allow this ability. After that, you can revert to the original drivers.

My only problem now is the speed the IR commands are sent. Like if I try to change to channel 100 for example, the 1 gets sent and before the 0 has time to get sent and the channel goes to my lowest channel which is 3.

thats cause you dont need those entered to get it working
with the original drivers there is no need to have to learn any buttons
you will end up with double hits doing what you are doing if you load the old drivers back in
so just leave the driver as it is if you want to learn all the buttons in my opinion iots a waste of time
when all you need to add is the start button and the 0 through 9

the way you have done it does work but i hope you can see what i mean

you may need to relearn the codes sometimes holding the button for less time helps when learning them
other time you need to hold for longer

is it the time between buttons if you need a double digit or do numbers below 10 not work either?

Numbers below 10 work fine now. 10 and above, the entry of the second digital takes too long.

I am going to start from scratch one more time, but using the original driver seemed to not allow me to add the Start button.

The Wiki article on HIP really needs to be updated.
