Hi,

I reckon it would be a good idea to implement some kind of feature similar to other video/media applications like VLC media player. What it does is show what your listening to or watching on TV in GB-PVR, it could be the name of the channel, or the data from the EPG programme guide or something like that.

Is there any way of doing that? I think it's a great idea?

The current OSD wil display that info already. While watching TV you should be able to move your mouse, Ctrl-B keyboard, or Blue button on the remote.

I think he means so that the information on what is currently playing - be it video or music, shows up in your MSN Personal Message to say what you're watching.

Just hope that you remember to turn it off if you start watching pr0n!! Big Grin

It's probably possible, it's just whether any of the plugin developers have enough interest in the idea to do it...

LOL, yeah Smile

Yeah, that's the idea I was thinking of. You could add a plugin into the GB-PVR software, which connects to the MSN 'show what I'm listening to' feature, and shows what television programmes you are watching.

Its not the sort of thing I'd add, but another developer could easily create a plugin that does this.

How would we get to add it?

What do you mean?

The developer can create a plugin that implements IEventNotification. This plugin will be called each time a new audio/video file starts playing, and they can then call whatever API that MSN users for updating this info.

It'd just be installed like all other plugins, by placing it's DLL in a new subdirectory under the Plugins directory.
