Hi, I have a PVR-150 already, and looking at buying a 2nd tuner. I am thinking HVR-1600... I really don't see the use of a PVR-150 since all of it's features seem to be in the HVR-1600, and a lot more. I am still wondering why they even sell PVR-150s... same price or pretty close. Am I missing something here?

2nd part of the question is: I use the IR blaster that came with the PVR-150. Will this IR blaster be working when i use the HVR-1600, or do i need a seperate IR blaster for the 1600? (I know, i only have 1 set top box... i still just want to find out if the ir blaster can be used by both cards anyways, even if it's plugged into the pvr-150 card).

Thanks a lot for any answers!

As of a couple of months ago Hauppauge dont sell the PVR-150 any more (in the States at least). Any devices available from retailers will eventually disappear.

You can have your HVR1600 capture source using an IR Blaster that is physically on the PVR150.
