I recently install GBPVR (current version)on VISTA home Premium OS. After recording several TV shows some Analogue and some HD, I am unable to play the HD recordings from within the GBPVR blue skin. The analogue play fine. When I go to recording and click on a particular HD recording and then click on Play it immediately returns to the menu. The software is configured to use the Nvidia video decoder for playback. I can play these recordings in VLC which was installed with the HDHomerun. I have the recording directory set as C:\recordings. I did notice that the HD files in this directory all have the Microsoft Media Center icon for what its worth. I have attached a zip of the log files any help would appreciated.

Did you try playing one of these files immediately before posting the logs (it didnt look like it)? If so, what was the name of the HD recording so I know where exactly I'm looking in the logs.

I was pretty sure I did but to insure it I tried playing CSA Miami and Law and order again with the same result. Attached logs.

It looks like the DVR-MS playback components are missing or broken on your machine. I suspect you also cant play .dvr-ms files in WMP or MCE.

I'm not really sure what to suggest for this, since its part of Windows and not something people usually need to "reinstall".

I do have all of the Media Center Services disabled to prevent them from interfering with GBPVR. I assume that this would not cause the problem?

That shouldnt be the cause. You never know with Microsoft though, so in the absense of any other ideas....

I am looking at the c:\recording directory and all of the files contained in the various folders that were recorded in HD are showing a size of 6KB( they should be 7,104,407kb or more). So it look like they were never recorded properly.

Yep, that could account for it.

Does live tv work for you?

Do a recording then zip and attach the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

It looks like its locking onto the signal ok, so it should be recording. I'm not really sure.
