When accessing the web scheduler from the internet, it works fine, except I cant stop the streaming when pressing the 'stop streaming' button, whilst if accessing it through the lan only, its fine, this means not only I cant stop streaming the programme via the web I cant change it either. Again through
the lan I can go to 'manage recordings' and delete anything currently recording, which of course stops the streaming, but when accessing 'manage recordings' from the internet, I don't get that option, is there a way of enabling that option for web access, and /or getting the stop streaming button to work?

Very strange......there is nothing in the code to treat the two environments differently. If you are seeing the stop streaming button when accessing from the Internet it should work just like it does when accessing it internaly.

What port are you streaming on? You should not be using 8080, or 7647.

Yes it is very strange if that's not supposed to happen! I', streaming on 7648, would the fact I'm using firefox as my browser make any difference?

Are you really accessing from the internet or are just looping back?
If so, I would try accessing from the internet from a system outside your lan.

I was really accessing from the internet, however I have solved the problem by reinstalling GBPVR which solved the managing recordings problem, but not the stop streaming button malfunction, this I solved by using internet explorer (ugh)i nstead of firefox. Presumably a Java glitch then. Thanks

I have not been able to duplicate this....I can access internal and external with firefox 2 and 3 and when I click on Stop Server Stream it kills it on the server fine.

Are you running the stand alone or as a plugin on the page?

Are you using the VLC player or WMP?

I have only ever gotten WMP to work with transcode type of wmv/mp3/asf. Have you tried that transcode setting?

That's good news.

This is one of the reason's I rarely use WMP to play music....it isn't veritile enough. VLC seems to always do the job.

I still manage my music library with WMP though....I like that interface.
