Okay, I am new to this so please bare with me. My question is what video card should I buy with my type connections. I use Comcast cable with their DVR box (needed to recieve HD from them). So the coax cable comes out of the wall to the DVR box; then out of the box with a HDMI cable to the TV. I was think of connecting it with the coax coming out of the wall going to the GBPVR box, out of the GBPVR box to the Comcast box and then HDMI out of the Comcast box to the TV. So what video card would be able to do this?

Thanks

Unless, your capture card can receive the Comcast signal, then you are best to have the cable go into the comcast box where it is decoded. With the proper HD capture card, you can record the HD content from the comcast box in GBPVR using component video inputs from the comcast box. The channel changing on the comcast box would be controlled by GBPVR. For a video card to display HD content, you need a pretty robust card as well. I have an ATI 2400XT (because it is passive cooled), and it doesn't quite cut it. It handles most HD content very well, but sometimes there is the odd tear in the picture. I do have an ATI 1650XT (fan cooled) in another computer and it handles HD content seamlessly. I would use at least use an ATI 2600XT or higher video card for HD content viewing.
