what sound device do you have? the two sound drop-downs should have your input sources, and 'capture' in the other. If not check if your sound card is supporting DirectX correctly. Also you could post the logs from the config app here.

My set up works with both the capture card's audio pin, and my sound card's line input (because of the cable at the back of the pc). You might also want to play with the mixer settings after you start viewing the video to see if there's something funny that might be happening.

When using a normal sound card --> Preview mode should turn your audio source on for playback, and non-preview mode should turn the audio source off for playback, but should select it for recording. If you manually select it during recording does it help? Does it pick the wrong one?

Both render fine to me :-) Can you post a screenshot of windows mixer in playback and recording mode too?

yup, it will try and pick those by default for you.

i will want whatever files are updated during recording tests (just sort by update date). There should be gb-pvr, and recordingservice. (Just zip them up all together so you can upload as a single file)
