So, aside from the fact that I seem to be one of the first people with the new ati all-in-wonder hd (great card for 149.00 btw)

I'm stumped on getting gb-pvr to scan any atsc channels, on either it, or the hauppauge 1600 (or qam for that matter).

I am able to get atsc working in mp, beyondtv, and each card's native program, so I'm sure it's something that I'm just missing here.

I've checked all of the other posts detailing similar problems, and tried the patch, and I've gone through a number of different codecs.

I'm still coming up with no channels found from either card.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Also, follow this wiki page http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource and tell us how far you could go using the guide.

I found that guide very useful when setting up, but for someone using a dual analog/digital tuner card like the HVR-1600, I think it's smarter to configure your EPG data source to provide two different XML files, one for the digital data and one for analog. That guide shows the method I started off with of leaving both digital and analog channel data in the XML EPG file and then selecting only the digital channels in config. It works, but if you have a few hundred channels to unselect or select, it's time consuming and a pain if you want to empty the guide and start again (as I did many times when setting up.)

Of course, that's a detail and won't affect the OP's problem of no channels.

Dennit,
I don't quite understand the how creating two xml files would speed up your channel selection.
If you want to discuss it, I think this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=35389 or a new thread in Support Forum would be more appropriate.

As for the guide, I'm able to get through the whole guide right to the mapping where it goes to scan and simply finds no channels. For what it's worth I have had gb pvr working in the past with this card and qam on a different machine... so I'm sure it's something I'm overlooking.

I cant see anything obvious in the logs, but it might be worth trying this patch: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=90
