As all the house bills seem to be going up I've been wondering if I could make use if Windows XP's sleep modes to send the HTPC into low power mode if not in use.
So my question is how many people here are using these hibernate/sleep features, what is required and what are people experiences with it (reliability, noise level etc)?

. The work around I use is, I enable the power management icon in the task bar and from there I can simply switch between always on (during the day and evening) and sleep mode during the night. It works spot on.
