SRT file with recordings

With each recording I got srt file, but I don't want it! How can I get rid of it?
I have 'Capture teletext subtitles to SRT' unchecked. So, why do I get SRT with my recordings!?

I didn't have this before. But recently my computer crashed, so I reinstalled everything, including GBPVR. Since then, I got SRT with each recording. I am running 1.2.9 version.

PS: I don't want srt, because there is nothing to be captured in it.

That should have done it. Try disabling teletext altogether.

It works if I disable teletext altogether.
But I don't have teletext now. I can live with that, but isn't it workaround with "innocent victims"!?

I see the same problem in 1.2.13. I hadn't tried unchecking teletext altogether, but will give this a try.

However, I can foresee occasions where I might want to record the srt file but only have subtitles play back when requested. I can't see a configuration option to have subtitle playback disabled by default. It seems that if the srt file exists, you will always get subtitles displayed on playback, whether you want them or not.

I suddenly got this problem as well, I have just been deleting the srt file from the folders that annoy me, and I would get it with or without teletext enabled. Is there a line in the config.xml that I could directly edit?

If teletext is disabled it shouldnt be possible to get these files. If you're sure you're getting them even with teletext disabled, then zip and attach the logs showing a recording and I'll take a look.

I will get a chance on wednesday to double check this but will do. Is that the pvrx2.exe and native logs?

Double checked and with the teletext disabled then there is no srt file, is there a way to have teletext on and be able to turn the srt off, without just deleting the files?

I've put it on my list of things to check for the next release. In the mean time you'll either need to have teletext off, or delete the files. (the app will auto delete them when you delete a recording)
