In a huff here,

going for a Server rebuild, XP SP3 is installing and I got bored. I just wondered what anyone else does on a rebuild. For me this is precious time. I'm tired, I want to join my wife and dream of sheep (not in a weird way) I'm watching the progress bar and it bores me so I messed around with some cables and just got a bit angry with the way they get tangled.....

What does anyone else do?

Cheers

Steeb

I'm convinced staring at the progress bar makes the installation go faster. I think the same gremlin that caused the problem in the first place, waits till your back is turned and then slows the cpu...

Great responses,

some laughter was had Big Grin

Actually I generally just redo from image but something went wrong on my last server rebuild so had to roll back to a previous image which was pre SP3.

Hence boredom, progress bar and my cables.........!

Just set up an XP "answer file". It automate the entire installation and you can go off and play with the sheep.
