Hi, when using the TuningAssistant for the analog part of my hybrid card (HVR2200), whenever I get told a channel has been detected, the message says I 'should watch the channel to confirm which it is'.
Is a preview of the channel meant to appear in the upper part of this utility? There is a large blank area, so was wondering if that was what (if anything) was meant to be there?
(I can post a screenshot if necessary...)

I quickly looked at the wiki (and unless I missed it), didn't see any relevant screenshots.

The analog side of the HVR2200 doesnt work with the TuningAssistant. This particular card works a bit differently to all the other cards, and was released after the current GB-PVR release, so the TuningAssistant hasnt been updated to work with it yet.

I think this was the site I used to get the frequencies to set mine up originally.

A few days ago I added the extra direct.ini section that you gave me for the 2200. If I select this card then the TuningAssistant does work (it detects channels 1, 2, 5?, 11?) but it's 'tritv' and 'prime' that I cannot find.
Or when you say it "doesn't work" do you mean the preview area (assuming there is meant to be one)?

Yes, I'm talking about the preview area.

The reason its not finding the other channels is because Microsoft has an incorrect definition of the "New Zealand / Antenna" frequencies, and only scans the VHF frequencies. If you set it to "New Zealand / Cable" then it'll scan something like 350 frequencies (many of them are repeated) and will include all the VHF/UHF frequencies - this will fine prime etc.

368 frequencies, iirc ;-)
However I tried this and other than the main channels (tv1, tv2, etc) it found a handful of others but all I seemed to get when I viewed them (in pvrx2) was static. I guess I'll try adding the frequencies manually...

The channel numbers will only apply if you'd used the same "New Zealand / Cable" selection in your capture source, otherwise you'll get static.

I cannot check it at the moment (I'm at work) but If I'd left it as NZ/Antenna, I guess this would explain why I could only find those channels with the low numbers (just as when it's set to 'antenna' in the TuningAssistant' it only checks 11 channels)?
