blank screen encrypted channel popup on unencrypted channels

channel 4 and a bunch of it's siter channels has stopped working - I'm getting an encrypted channel popup.
Tried rescanning for channels but ptoblem persists.

If they've changed PIDs you might need to rescan.

yeah tried that, no luck.
gone one stage further, deleted capture sources and started from scratch. I'm sure I got something out of channel 4 when I first launched PVRX2 after redoing the capture sources, but now nothing again. Just a black screen on about four channels.

They've just come back again. Actually the audio on exactly these channels started being glitchy for a few days before the video went. I wonder if maybe the broadcasters are doing something ???

Ok its not the broadcaster. Live TV is blank, but I can record, and watch the channel. It does seem to affect al lthe channels on one mux, and nothing else tho.

clean logs showing attempt to watch live preview for a few seconds, followed by record and play of same channel working fine.

Does setting your audio renderer back to 'system default' make any difference?

nope. similar logs but changed to system def audio renderer.

Turns out it was a hardware problem. One of my HVR1300s seems to be slowly dying Sad
