Any news about this ? I mean I would be interested to know if you had a mail back from Geniatech or if you are still in the dark about the BDA private commands for diseqc?

I did get an email back from them with the details, but unforunately I havnt found time to implement support for it yet. (it can be a difficult job without having the hardware in front of you)

oh no !
I was so much expecting this to be done... is there a way i can help out, like subsidize/donate to you to buy that card for testing ? wonder how much it would cost to buy & get it to your place.

You can send me one if you want, and it will help bump it up the priority level, but it'd probably just be cheaper for you to buy a hauppauge or twinhan card though...

I'm decided, I'll send you a Digiwave 103g card for the Diseqc support work to be done and tested. With the SDK I posted above it should help quite a bit. Let's PM so I can get your complete address.

sub,
Thanks for providing your address, 1 Digiwave 103g DVB-S card is in the mail on its way to your place. It could take a few weeks going from Canada to New Zealand as I used the cheapest shipping option. Cheers !

Sub, I'd been using MediaPortal for a while with my Pinnacle PCTV 400e USB DVB-S receiver and I was able to use Diseqc there.
This might sound a bit naive, but I'm not a programmer, so it's just a thought: since MediaPortal is open source, would there be a possibility to peek around in there source files and get some ideas of implementing Diseqc for Pinnacle, Geniatech and others or would that be illegal? |
