I have been playing with using an external launcher in moviewiz, and have discovered something that seems very strange. If th path to the file I am trying to launch contains the text '.DVD' this is stripped from the path that is sent as the parameter to the external player. So if I look through the library and see that I have a film identified by the file 'c:\films\my.film.DVDRip.XVid\my.external.launcher.file.aidx' when I try and launch this file using the ExtPlayer button it sends the parameter 'c:\films\my.filmRip.XVid\my.external.launcher.file.aidx', and so I can't launch the film. It seems to work as long as there is no 'dvd' in the path anywhere.

I have updated to the latest version tonoght, but no difference.

.dvd is already used by gbpvr to denote actual dvd [video_ts] directories..
you'll probably have to stay away from that 'word' as a dir name to use it normally..

Actually, I did find a bug in the logic where if .DVD was found ANYWHERE in the file name, it would be removed.

Try this version (v1.0.19.1), I think it should fix your problem.

Thanks for the quick response, as ever the support is amazing. I'll check this version at home at lunch time. Sounds promising though. If I can get this working the Wife Acceptance Factor is going to increase significantly. Smile
