Hi,

I was wondering if one of the plugin developers might be interested in making a volume control plugin that basically duplicates the function of the Windows volume control put from within GBPVR.

The reason I ask is because I have set up my home theater with an Xbox feeding into my PCs line in, and the line out (GBPVR + Xbox) feeds into an amp. This allows me to use the GBPVR music collection when playing the console, but very often I need to exit GBPVR and adjust the line in / wave volumes to get a good mix.

If the volume control was within GBPVR it'd be much more slick. I'm thinking it'd basically have sliders and mute buttons.

Thanks

I could probably knock something resembling a "Mixer" plugin for you next week. Most likely reuse some of the code from my old Volume plugin.

Would be nice, because when I play dvd's from gbpvr the volume control does, for some reason, not work. Would it also be possible to choose which volume (in the mixer) to control?

Hi McBain,

That's exactly the word I was looking for and couldn't think of; yes a mixer would be perfect.

Thanks very much in advance. Looking forward to it.

Just to let you know I've started on the Mixer plugin. Going ok, ETA 1-2 weeks as I'm working on v1.2 of the Torrents plugin at the moment.

That looks interesting too. I see that one has to configure the ip-address, will the plugin look up a no-ip.com address? Ie, can I put my "orion.servebeer.com" address in that field?

I don't know. Try it and if it doesn't work prehaps I can add the ability for the next version.

Try this. Unzip and run the installer.

Hopefully it fairly obvious how to use the plug-in. One thing I will say is that page-up / page-down can be used instead of the Vol + / Vol - menu buttons.

Let me know how you get on Smile

edit: removed attachment as the Mixer plugin now has it's own wiki page Smile

Installed it but PVRX2 asks for RecorderHelper.dll when it starts, where can I download it? And how is the plugin activated? (Looking forwerd to test it Smile)
