I have had my gbpvr living room setup running for some time (approx 1 year). As it is predominantly for my wife, I haven't really noticed any issues. I asked my wife if there is anything she would like added or changed and she said that several channels do not show up in the guide. Examples of this would be food network and Disney Channel. We currently have basic cable thru Time Warner Cable in Southern Wisconsin, USA. If someone can give me a walkthrough on how to fix this I am sure I can follow thru and fix all missing channels. I am using the Zaptoit EPG and it works well except for these few channels in the guide. Thank you for any help any of you can provide!

This program, all the add-ons, and this community rule!

Treads, when you say it doesn't show up in the guide, do you mean it tunes in when watching live tv, but there is no channel in the TV Guide for that entry? Or, do you mean there is no data for the channel?

Either way you will want to check your Capture Device to see if all channels are on it, and check the Channels tab to see if it exists there.

So I would start by opening the Config tool and goto the Capture Sources tab.
Open your Cable Capture Source, select it then click Edit.
Now review the list of channels, is there an entry for the Food Network/Disney channel transponder (Source Channel)? Is the channel Enabled? Is the name correct?

If you do not find the Channel then you need to look into how you built the Channel list, XMLTV? If it is an XMLTV source then you need to check that source configuration and make sure it is pulling the channel.

I hope this helps to get you started.

I have a similar problem, but with DVB-T. Within the Program Guide Screen, the EPG for most channels appears, (programe name and time). However For Dave, Sky Three and a couple of other ones their is no information relating to the programe title or times just a blank row. The EPG Data it taken from the DVB-T Transmison.

The Icons for these channels is present and I can watch them as well. Although when i do watch them the box that appears with the program info is always empty. I assume that this is related.

The channels are found by the Channel Scan and are present in the Config channel list. I have tried removing the source, retuning and updating the EPG Data.

If you can provide a 1 minute long "full ts" recording of one of these channels, then I can take a look for you.

Ok, sorry about the non-detailed original post. I am using Schedules direct for Time Warner cable. All channels show up in the guide and in the config. However, several channels (like disney and food network) show "no show details" for all time slots when looking at the guide. What files should I be looking at to fix this? I have my EPG setup to update everyday at 2:00am and display 15 days of programming. If there is anything else you need to know, I will be glad to provide. Thanks all!

Hit the 'Update EPG' button in the config app, then zip and attach the config.exe.log, and list of a few channels that show no listings in the TV Guide.

Can you tell me what the names of those channels are?

Also, the logs have rolled over, so you'll need to also attach the backup config.exe.log files, since these are need to see the begining of the EPG update process.

Sub, I have a bunch of files on the logs directory. Which one exactly is the backup one you want? I am not sure which one it is. Attached is a screenshot of everything in the folder. I will gladly zip up and load whichever one you need.

Here are the names of the channels that have "no show details".

Screenshot:[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

8 CSPAN2
19 WJJA
37 HGTV
45 CNNH
49 COURT
58 DISN
63 JWLTV
64 TWC
67 FOOD
95 TWCMNJT

Thanks Sub!
