I've been using my Hauppage remote with GBPVR for a long time having the following codes in the [default] section of the irremote.ini file:
Code:
CHNLDOWN={findwnd(,GB-PVR)}{SendMsg(32771,225,0)}
Unfortunately these stopped working in PVRX2, because this was the old way and there is no problem with that, but I can't seem to figure out how this new 32775 message system works, what should be changed in the irremote.ini file...

So this new way seems to be way too complex for me, could anyone post me some help? maybe an irremote.ini file, which works with PVRX2? I'm sure I need only one tyni bit of information to make this work, but couldn't find it after searching the forums for an hour. (But I learned other nice things, so it was not a complete waste of time Smile)

Thanks in advance, great program, great community!

Thanks Sub for answering my initial question on this!

I've seen this file, but couldn't figure out how a does a line look like in the irremote.ini file.
Should it be like this?
Code:
NAVDOWN={SendMsg(32775,40,0)}
I've tried, but doesn't work. (I put it in the [default] section and placed the PVRX2 window into the background).

I dont use the irremote.ini for sending messages in this way, so can tell you whether you're doing the right thing or not.

The messages definitely work though, since I use this message for internally within the app.

If you do a forum search for '32775', you should find other discussion from people doing this.

Code:
NAVDOWN={findwnd(,PVRX2)}{SendMsg(32775,40,0)}
This seems to work.

So basically I still need to ind te window with {findwnd} and then pass a code with {sendmsg}, the only "old" thing is 32771, is should use a different id and pass a different code.

Could that be right?

Cool - glad you worked it it out. Update all your entries to this message id and the parameter to the correct key codes and you should be good to go.

The old 32771 message only handled a small set of hard coded parameters. 32775 is much more flexible and can handle any keystroke.

I seem to be able to do the single keystrokes, but not the extended ones, like ctrl-K.

You need to "or" them together with the needed modifier.

I did search the forums hard, but all the irremote.ini files, which are out there use mainly 32771 messages, only a couple of commands use 32775 in all of them.
I couldn't make it work on my computer either, only the navigation buttons seem to work while pvrx2 is not in focus, all the others are out of order for me.
