MVP: Apply a new theme (or how to change the theme by hand!)

Hi,

I'm trying to apply a new CS theme on my MVP, but when I choose the theme from the list and hit the OK button on the MVM remote, it simply goes back to the Apply/Edit theme menu, and it never actually applies the theme I selected (even after I restart GBPVR and the MVP). Should I expect this to work on the MVP?

If not, could someone point me to a method to configure the theme files by hand. (I'm guessing that this is the only way to do it, as the machine I am running on is quite old, so PVRX2 doesn't run due to the machine's ancient video card.....). If there are other options, please let me know......

I've haven't tried the Skin Plugin on the MVP. Can you post your logs?

edit: and the files c:\Program Files\GBPVR\Plugins\SkinPlugin\SkinPluginHelperCommands.xml and c:\Program Files\GBPVR\Plugins\SkinPlugin\SkinPluginHelper.exe.log

Hi,

The attached zip file contains the logs and the xml file you requested. The MVP log is a session where I simply powered on the MVP, navigated to the "Skins" menu, selected the "Dark Cast - Blue" theme, and returned to the main menu. (I then turned the MVP off and back on as well, but the theme did not change). I've never posted GBPVR logs before, so let me know if you need more/other info!

I'd like to get this working.....but in the short term I'd just like to get my MVP using a more readable theme (don't much care for the default green on my TVs!). Is there a way to manually set a different theme?

On the "MVP & NMT" tab in the config try setting MVP Skin to Community3 rather than Default.

That fixed it! I guess I was fooled by the fact that the "Default"
MVP skin "looked" like a Community3 skin, but didn't change when
I told it to change. Thanks for the help!
