I recently installed v1.2.13 . At first it seemed to be OK but now PVRX2 starts in fullscreen mode and I can't exit using the Hauppauge remote or the mouse or hitting the ESC key. I have to CTRL/ALT/DEL and use Windows Task Manager to end PVRX2.

I have checked windowed mode in config. I've also checked 16x9 but it still comes up in fullscreen with the wrong aspect ratio.

What else should I check?

Maybe try deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Devnz\Window* registry keys, then try again.

check the survival guide, modify config.xml as suggested there Smile

As for the aspect ratio stuff, the only thing that does is tell the "auto" aspect ratio how to handle anamorphic widescreen content (whether or not to put it in a letterbox).
IIRC the aspect ratio of the application itself (shape of the window) is determined by your resolution (although it would be nice to tell it if the pixels are square or not)

Its determined by the tv shape setting in the config app and resolution. It doesnt need to worry if the pixels are square or not.

It shouldn't matter for video, since aspect ratios can control that, but since SD-TVs are 720x480, with rectangular (horizontally squashed) pixels, I would imagine that text is a bit squeezed vertically when the app is fullscreen on a TV. It has been years since I used a SD-TV with GB-PVR, so I could be wrong... just one of those things that I think about.

I'm fairly sure there is no problem there. It doesnt matter what the resolution is, and text isnt squeezed. Its designed to not care what shape the pixels are.

This used to a problem for the old GBPVR.exe ui, which you might have been thinking of.

I haven't had time to get back to this yet (for a variety of reasons including: I'm building a double bassCool and our bathroom is being redone:eek:......).

I should have said that the aspect ratio is probably only wrong because it is always in fullscreen mode on the PC monitor and I can't grab a window corner to change it. That makes me think the registry key deletions suggested by sub will fix it Smile. I'll let you know as soon as I've tried it.

No, deleting the registry keys did not fix it. Re the other thread did you mean SystemRestartIsAppOnly because it <SystemRestartIsAppOnly> is set to false already.

I just noticed that I can exit from the main menu but the menu stays on the screen until I refresh the desktop; some sort of memory leak?
