Rumour has it in the next release we might expect the following:

1. Support for an accelerometer so if you shake or kick you HTPC it will randomly shuffle your music. (Sound familiar?)

2. Intelligent scheduling. Looks at you viewing habits, and considers the alignment of the planets and stars to accurately predict the programs you want to watch in the future, including obviously all repeat-repeats of the Simpsons, and the Mythbusters.

3. Speech recognition remote function. If you can yell over the volume of the commercials the word "mute" the program will mute the output. Similary the command "What is this crap?" will initiate a IMDB look-up and tell you all the details about the program you are watching.

Note: The preceding are currently unconfirmed, but remember you heard it here first.

Please add to this thread your most outlandish speculations. Big Grin

cool! i would love this feature, if i turn the screen will the display automatically rotate as well? (of course turning my 60" tv might be difficult.... i'm going to have to build some kind of pulley system..)

So could I just say "if there's nothing worth watching on TV play a bit of Pink Floyd"?

and could I call it Holly?

Difficult - but so worthwhile!

Might as well go out on a limb.......using an analog tuner, it will allow you to upconvert your competed video file to blu-ray.

or better yet, place a VHS tape on a scanner and have it automatically converted blu-ray in widescreen, full surround sound and special features! now if that isn't in the next version sub is going to get one strongly worded letter form me

Ok, how about just think about what you want your video to be about and it's automatically created from your thoughts........nevermind. Most likely many of us would be arrested.

Nah, I think sub is going to tell us he can't be bothered anymore, and recommend that we all go back to VHS and tapes....

Oh the glory days of E180 video tapes.
