New Release of the MDAPIFilter version 2.1

I'm having possible problems with the 2.2 version, not that I have used any other. Whenever I go into live tv or map channels in config app, I get the popup attached. Wasn't sure what app was doing this but figured it out when doing alt-tab switching.

Windows XP SP3
GBPVR 1.2.13
MDAPIFilter 2.2
EmuNation 3.0.5.1-vs2005
VS 2005 and 2008 runtime installed

I looked in the pvrx, config, recording service logs, but I don't see anything logged.

Great heerfordt. I'm finding 2.2 much better than the previous version I had (not sure what it was) so hopefully this one is an improvement as well. Thanks for all your work.

I've tried the new 2.6 version, but unfortunately it doesn't work well for me.
I'm using it along with acamd. Encrypted channels don't get decrypted.
I get a "This channel is encrypted" message from gbpvr.
But in the newcs monitor window i see that ecm/emm's are being received and processed ok. With 2.2 all is sort of ok.

By the way, i think the idea of soccerdad is really good. Dunno who's gonna pick that up ?

I wonder if it would be possible to keep the MD Plugin running always in the background (like the recording service) so when you launch pvrx2, the plugin would already be active and have the info it needs for the decrypt. Otherwise, you have to wait for stuff to come down the stream before you can watch anything.

Hi mikenl.

It could happend from time to time, that MDAPI Plugin isen't fast enough. To avoid the problem set this property decryptOnKeyOnly to false in mdapifilter.ini file. That way the mdapifilter thinks it can decode all channels :-)

I tried 2.6 in the weekend as promised, but backed it out.

Was finding that watching via live preview on an encrypted channel that after about 30 mins or so it would hang the pvrx2 process. Looking at the mdapi logs it looked like it was getting a shut down.

Also what ffdesca.dll should we be using? It was talking about a test tool, but I couldn't see one.
