Temporary 'live tv' files not being deleted

Tonight I missed a recording of Heroes due to running out of disk space. I only had a few things recorded, so took a closer look at the Temp folder, and it was full of temporary files from watching live tv. In 'Misc' tab I have Live preview mode set, but do occasionally pause it in order to get instant replay ability. Is this non-automatic deletion a known issue?

Someone else mentioned this about a week ago. I've added it to my list of things to investigate, but I havnt looked into it yet.
