sub has said that the new version is a few weeks away. He doesn't usually announce new features though. He has stated however that it includes 5.1 sound support for the Hauppauge HD-PVR and a fix for the HVR-2250 where it will be able to tell that a tuner is not available for analog if it is being used for digital at the time.

I get on the forums when I can, but sometimes it's weeks or months between posts or reads. I wonder if there is any way we can get an email notification of when a new version comes out.

Maybe subscribing to a hidden thread that announces new versions?

I think the lead thread is where sub always announces new versions - the one cunningly entitled GB-PVR announcements: http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10
- Silent client PVR: HDPlex HS.1 aluminium fanless case / Thin-ITX ASRock H81TM-ITX motherboard / Intel Celeron 1850T CPU / 4GB RAM / 120GB SSD / TBS6982 DBS-S2 dual-tuner card / Win10+nPVR+Plex Media Player feeding LG OLED55B6V + Anthem MRX510 AV Receiver / PMC GB1 / B&W / REL speakers.
- Noisy NAS: Xeon / Intel mobo / 16GB RAM / FreeNAS + Ubuntu VMs on VMware ESXi + 12TB RAID
running Plex Media Server

I'm not sure if you are replying to my post, or just making a general comment, as most of us realize that this section of the forums exists.

Now, if there was a way that I could get a notification of when a new thread exists in the root of that forum, hence a new version of the software, then that would satisfy my desire to be notified of when a new version of GBPVR exists.

Yes, something like the NMT new firmware thread on their site.

I've got RSS setup on the GB-PVR Announcements thread:-

Go to GBPVR Announcements and on the right hand side "Subscribe to this forum"

That should work.

Or like me, live here.... Big Grin
