Yes, this probably explains why last nights 2 am epg update didnt happen.

If he posts the logs tomorrow I'll see if there is any other reason.

When I check the guide because something failed to record, all the timeslots just say "no data" (or something similar ... sorry, my system is in use at the moment so I can't look.) When I update the guide manually from within GBPVR it works fine. Any clues as to why it keeps failing? Is there any way of being notified (eg sending me an email) when the EPG is empty?

same here, but on my system it fails more frequentlySad i don't have any idea why it's failing, logs (enclosed) do look good but for some reason it seams just not saving to database..

at the time of the sceduled update (on 7.00 am) epg was not empty, it only should have added the next 24 hours. i guess your excerpt above only shows the summery of all entries after the update, even if no new show were added, could this be the case? as shown below, on 7.06 am, the exact same amount of entries was logged:

It is a list of the entries found during the scan (not including any already in the database), before it is saved to the database. It then deletes the contents of the database, and inserts these these new entries found. The number of days worth of listings this includes is up to the broadcaster.

a manuel update today on about 10 am brought 24 hours more of epg-data. so, perhaps 7 am is just a bad time to find updates?

Its impossible to know what time your broadcaster loads up the additional shows in the EPG. They probably arrive in a big chunk at some specific time of day.

It failed just the other day. I did an EPG update in the evening, so it should be easy enough to spot. Immediately prior to that update the whole EPG was empty.

Run reregisterfilters.bat and it should sort itself out.
