I'm trying to setup 1.2.13 on XP as a client to 1.2.9 on Vista. The Vista side is working fine. I have 1.2.13 on XP configured as a client using streaming. When I start it up, it immediately jumps into the debugger.

Any thoughts?

There is nothing in those logs.

What does the error message on screen say? or maybe its listed in the windows event log.

Thanks Sub,

I just figured out the grenading issue. I thought database directory meant the path to my shows, when it actually meant the path to the GBPVR install directory. Now that I have that fixed, it's starting up just fine.

However, I can't watch any recorded shows or watch live TV. The MUX checker doesn't list any MUXes. I'm running XP SP2. Do I still need to install a MUX?

I've checked several threads on here related to MUXes and all the links seems to be dead now. Sad

from memory you only need the mux on the machine that is doing the recording ie the one with the tuner in, but you will still need codecs etc on your client machine

The muxes are only needed for digital and Captcol is correct, they are only needed on the machine with the tuners. The mux checker will not list the DVR-MS muxer which is available on XP+ machines or the built in TS muxer. Those are used for digital tuners.
