New user, was working, now video won't show, audio does.

I am a new user of this app.

I had video earlier for about 15 minutes, then it went black on me.

Now, all I have is a black screen but I do have audio.

I'm using a Ati TV Wonder HD 650 PCI Express card.

I'm using regular cable connected to my TV In port on my card.

Any ideas?

Its most likely related to the decoders you're using. What audio/video decoders do you have selected?

Decoders Tab, Mpeg-2 Playback, System Default

Is that the correct spot to look?

Looks like that filter isn't compatible with Vista 64. When I go to register it using "regsvr32 Mpeg2DecFilter.ax" I get an error stating the incompatibility.

Try tracking down some other MPEG2 decoder then.

I installed the vista codec pack from here http://shark007.net/vistacodecpackage.html

I set my decoder to FFDSHOW. Now it won't even show black, it shows my tv guide still. But audio works fine.

I don't get why it would have worked for about 15 minutes earlier then stop and not work again. I can change channels just fine, just black video.

TV tuners seem to be a pain in the rear to get working so far. (

It was the decoder.

I downloaded Roxio CinePlayer codec for Vista. Problem solved.
